Comprimato at IBC 2016

Comprimato will be attending the 2016 IBC Conference and appearing in the exposition September 9th–13th.
From the IBC website:
IBC is the premier annual event for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment and news content worldwide.
Comprimato will be demonstrating a number of their solutions at 3 separate stands with their partners.

Imagine Communications

At the Imagine Communications stand, Comprimato will describe how their advanced JPEG2000 codec will be available as a plug-in for software-defined solutions from Imagine Communications. Particularly, Zenium:
Zenium is Imagine Communications’ next-generation modular platform for building smarter virtual applications and services. Zenium-powered products enable media organizations to use plug-ins, or micro-services, to quickly and easily create custom solutions. One of the first products to use Zenium is the SelenioFlex™ File media processing solution, which seamlessly blends transcoding and workflow capabilities to support a comprehensive range of formats.
Imagine Communications will be demonstrating a SelenioFlex file powered by Zenium at stand 4.A01.

Village Island and DekTec

Comprimato will also be on hand with Village Island and DekTec to display how easy and affordable it now is to perform 4k baseband SDI recording using standard PC hardware. The companies will explain in detail how their VF-REC v3 solution combined with Comprimato’s JPEG 2000 compression technology allowed them to record or playback 4K signals with a standard PC setup.
More on VF-REC v3:
It is now possible to perform 4K baseband SDI recording using standard and affordable PC hardware. Village Island and DekTec jointly announced VF-REC v3, a new version of the VF-REC application widely used for recording of transport streams and SDI signals using DekTec’s range of video I/O adapters. With this release, VF-REC receives a major GUI overhaul and introduces the exciting “J2K” option for JPEG 2000 compression.
You can find the teams at stand 2.B40.

GB Labs

Finally, at Stand 7.J15, GB Labs and Comprimato will be available to discuss their partnership which offers intelligent, resolution-agnostic live transcoding software for GB Labs media storage, enhancing and simplifying workflows for Adobe® Premiere® Pro Creative Cloud users.
The new solution provides users with a single file available at multiple resolutions for easier file management and reduced storage space requirements. With the new technology, video editors and post-production professionals will be able to streamline their projects and infrastructure for a more efficient production pipeline.
Comprimato and their partners are excited to be participating at the IBC Expo, and invite you to stop by to have any of your questions answered and witness their shared solutions demoed.
